SARAH WAS A STUARDESS MOST OF HER LIFE SHE LIVED AND WORKED IN EX-MINING VILLAGE HORDEN, PETERLEE, CO.DURHAM.
SARAH WAS THE FIFTH CHILD BORN TO NORMAN & CHARLOTTE SOFTLEY THEY HAD SIX CHILDREN.SHE HAD 3 BROTHERS, 2 SISTERS. (NORMAN, ARTHUR, ANDRA, SYLVIA & MARGARET) SARAH MARRIED MY DAD JOE WHITE A MINER AT HORDEN COLLIERY IN 1959.
SARAH & JOE HAD 3 CHILDREN 2 DAUGHTERS 1 SON (LESLEY 1959) (DAVID 1963) (BRONYA 1972) SARAH & JOE ALSO HAD 10 GRANDCHILDREN & 8 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. SARAH & JOE PARTED AFTER NEARLY 30 YEARS TOGETHER SADLY BUT THEY REMAINED FRIENDS & BOTH FOUND NEW PARTNERS. SARAH'S PARTNER JACKIE JONES SHARED THE LAST 11 WONDERFULL YEARS OF SARAH'S LIFE TOGETHER THEY BOTH TRAVELLED THE WORLD.
SARAH DIED FROM LUNG CANCER SHE WAS DIAGNOISED IN SEPTEMBER 2006 SHE WAS GIVE APPROXMATLEY 6-12 MONTHS TO LIVE BUT SADLEY SARAH PASSED AWAY VERY SUDDENLY 6 WEEKS AFTER BEING DIAGNOISED.
SARAH WAS A VERY STRONG MINDED LADY THERE WAS NOTHING SHE COULDN'T DO & NOTHING SHE WAS SCARED OF. SHE HAD A TEMPER IF YOU CROSSED HER. SHE WAS ONLY 4FT 11 SO QUITE SMALL BUT SHE USED TO ALWAYS SAY (GOOD STUFF COMES IN LITTLE BUNDLES) SARAH HAD A GOOD PERSONALITY SHE WAS ALWAYS THE LIFE & SOLE OF THE PARTY. SARAH LOVED TO TRAVEL SHE HAD BEEN ROUND MOST OF THE WORLD SHE WENT TO AUSTRALIA 3 TIMES SHE LOVED THE SUN. SARAH WORKED AS A STUARDESS MOST OF HER LIFE & WAS WELL KNOW BY A LOT OF PEOPLE.SHE LOVED FUN SHE ALSO SPOKE HER MIND & SHE WOULD GO OUT OF HER WAY TO HELP PEOPLE SHE WAS VERY KIND & HAD A HEART OF GOLD. SARAH ADORED HER CHILDREN THEY WERE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO HER. I AM SO PROUD SHE WAS MY MAM WE ALL LOVE HER VERY DEARLY.SARAH IS MISSED A LOT BY FAMILY & FRIENDS I MISS MY MAM SO MUCH SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND.SARAH LIVED LIFE TO THE FULL SHE IS SADLEY MISSED SHE WILL LIVE ON IN MANY PEOPLES HEARTS FOREVER & SHE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. REST IN PEACE MAM TILL WE MEET AGAIN LOVE YOUR BABY BRONYA XXXX. SADLY SARAH'S PARTNER JACKIE WHO LIKE ALL OF US MISSED HER DEEPLY, SADLY PASSED AWAY 13 WEEKS AFTER SARAH. BOTH FAMILIES WERE DEVASTATED JACKIE HAD 3 SON'S & LIKE SARAH LOTS OF GRANDCHILDREN & GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. TWO AMAZING PEOPLE WERE TAKEN FROM US IN SUCH A SHORT TIME. BUT WE KNOW THEY WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN LOOKING DOWN & SENDING ALL OF US THERE LOVE. THEY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTON EVA XXXX SENDING THEM MY ETERNAL LOVE BRONYA & FAMILYS. XXX

A Mothers Love
A mothers love is something,
That no-one can explain,
Its made of deep devotion,
Of sacrifice and pain,

Bronya, thank you so much for the lovely poem and kind words on my Mams site. Life is so hard when you lose your Mam, but I do take comfort in the fact she is not suffering anymore and nothing can ever harm her. Good Friends
I remember Sarah & JJ very well. My Mam worked at the Officials club for many years. Then when I was a taxi controller, Sarah & JJ called in to see me & bring me Sunday lunch nearly every week. She was a lovely lovely lady & we used to have a laugh about JJ retireing from the taxis & driving Sarah round the bend. I bet he is still causing you trouble now Sarah!
